“DAREDEVIL”…ready to jump!

Customizer Francisco Alí Manen’s tribute to the legendary Eve Knievel.

The owner of Lord Drake Kustoms, Francisco Alí Manén was always a fan of the legendary American stunt motorcyclist Evel Knivel. One day a good friend of his from Belgium told him about his idea of commissioning him to make an Evel Knievel tribute Harley in his motorcycle transformation workshop in Malaga (Spain) and then take it to Belgium.

Weeks later, they were chatting about the new electric bicycles and suddenly the “Evel Knievel” spark that had been off for a long time came to light. “It’s time to do something with more gasoline” and that was when John (a Belgian friend) commissioned Fran Manen (owner of Lord Drake Kustoms) to start shaping a new “Evel Knievel’s Daredevil”, a Scrambler motorcycle tribute to the famous jumper with a Sportster base…a motorcycle that if Evel Knievel saw it he would say: “I want to jump with it”…and thus began “Daredevil’s” journey back to earth!

The base would be a Sportster 1200, but this time the acronym HD did not mean Harley Davidson… they said “Harley Daredevil”… which fits like a glove.

To give a more retro look to a Sportster Scrambler, the modified Peanut-style tank was combined with a 21″ front tire. The graphics and colors were very easy to choose – the helmet and cape served as inspiration.

As always, there were three demands from Lord Drake Kustoms on his motorcycles: Simplicity, Elegance and Class… “Less is More.”

Currently, this Harley transformed into a Scrambler style, which perfectly resembles an Evel Knievel motorcycle, is in Belgium where its owner has sent it to attend various events related to the world of two wheels.
