Yamaha Introduces Special 50th Anniversary GP Livery

By: Cycle Canada Published on 18 May 2011

To celebrate its 50th year in GP motorcycle racing, Yamaha has created a special red-and-white livery for the YZR-M1 motorcycles of Yamaha factory riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies. The red and white colour scheme pays homage to the Yamaha factory racing liveries of the past, says the tuning fork company’s announcement, and will be used at the 2011 Assen and Laguna Seca MotoGP events. The colours will also appear on all Yamaha staff and team crew as well as the team’s pit box. Lorenzo and Spies will officially unveil their limited edition colours on June 22 prior to the Assen round.

We think they should just ditch their current livery for this one.
