Honda and Canadian Superbike Racing announce changes to the CBR205R racing series. In response to demand, the age cap has been lifted. Honda is offering discounts on race kits and offering contingency money.

For racers aged 13 to 25 campaigning a 2013 model year CBR250R, Honda will provide the $1500 factory race kit for free. Racers older than 25 receive the race kit for half price. The series is open to 2011 and 2012 model bikes and the race kit is available at the full price.

Honda has put up contingency money; first place pays $300 with decreasing payouts all the way back to sixth. The overall winner for the season takes home $1500, and championship money pays back to fifth.  In addition, racers registering before May 31st will receive a 10 by 10 foot canopy from Honda.

This will be the second year for the CBR250R challenge. The series made its debut in 2012, replacing the popular CBR125R challenge. Rules and details are available on the CSBK website.
