Honda Officially Unveils 2012 CBR1000RR

After the emergence of  spy photos of the 2012 CBR1000RR last month, Honda has released official pictures along with details of a few upgrades. The Fireblade’s fairing gets a minor facelift for a “more aggressive and a dynamic look” in 2012, according to Honda, but the frame and engine remain the same. The 999 cc inline-four is now claimed to have been made smoother though, through new fuel injection settings. The biggest upgrades come in the form of 12-spoke cast aluminium wheels, providing higher rigidity, and new suspension comprised of a Showa Big Piston Fork and an all-new “double-tube design” rear shock that Honda claims provides better damping and improved traction.

Other than that the 2012 model is the same as the current machine; same weight, same power and no sign of electronics such as traction control.
