Hornsleth creates series of “Kill Me Fast” Ducatis

“You don’t feel anything as you hit the wall at 320 km/h,” is what a Ducati salesman told Danish artist Kristian von Hornsleth when asked if it was dangerous to ride one of the Italian manufacturer’s beautifully crafted superbikes. The morbid, and hopefully true, statement became the inspiration for Hornsleth’s “Kill Me Fast” series of ten 1098 and 1198 Ducati motorcycles painted in the artist’s signature style.

“It is precisely this blend of beauty, speed and death, which inspired me to include this ‘sculpture’ in my artistic work,” writes Hornsleth on his website.

If you like what you see but don’t think you can afford one of Hornsleth’s ten Ducati creations, he’s also offering a poster of one of the bikes on his site.
