The U.S. Motorcycle Industry Council recently released the results of a 2013 customer satisfaction survey, with BMW Motorrad being named the outright winner.

A questionnaire was distributed in the fall of 2013 to a total of 50,303 owners of ten different brands who had all purchased a new motorcycle in the U.S. between September 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013. Out of six assessment categories, BMW Motorrad’s tally included two first-place rankings, one second and one third.

The German manufacturer topped the ranks in the production quality category, as well as the warranty and guarantee category. BMW’s sales and consultation score was good enough for second, while in the service category BMW was ranked third.

Carsten Saager, vice president of quality at BMW Motorrad, commented on the survey results: “We are very pleased to have achieved the top ranking in the Motorcycle Industry Council satisfaction survey. This confirms our clear customer and quality orientation. At the same time, the award is an incentive for BMW Motorrad to continue to improve.”
