Round 2 of the MotoGP championship, scheduled for April 25 at the Motegi circuit in Japan, has been postponed. Air travel disruptions caused by the massive cloud of Icelandic volcanic ash currently enveloping much of Europe have made it impossible for many team personnel to reach the land of the rising sun.

The race has been rescheduled for Oct. 3. say organizers and so the next round will now be at Spain’s Jerez circuit on 2 May.
