Canadian Superbike Friday Practice Results

BMW has filled the top four spots of the timesheet in the Friday afternoon practice ahead of Sunday’s opening round of the MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship at Shannonville Motorsports Park. Mississauga, Ontario’s Matthew McBride topped the charts with a lap of 1:05.051. Andrew Nelson, Jordan Szoke and Kevin Lacombe were all within less than eight-tenths of a second.

Alex Welsh on a GSX-R1000 and Frank Trombino on a GSX-R600 were the top Suzuki machines in fifth and six places. Jodi Christie, in seventh place, is the top Honda on a CBR600RR a full second and a half back of McBride. The Superbike record for the Shannonville Pro track is 1:04.632 set by Jordan Szoke on September 1st, 2007.

In the K&N Filters Pro Sportbike Friday practice, Frank Trombino had the fastest time at 1:06.053, on his Suzuki GSX-R600. Tim Robinson led the way in Bazzaz Amateur Superbike on a BMW S1000RR with a time of 1:08.955. Darren James turned in a time of 1:12.535 to lead the Harley Davidson XR1200 class.
