Suzuki has confirmed its participation in the 2015 MotoGP season, naming Spaniards Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales as riders. Davide Brivio, currently Suzuki’s test team manager, will head the operation. Espargaro and Vinales will ride the newly developed GSX-RR.

Vinales, in an interview with MotoGP.com, said, “It’s now official and I’m thrilled. The fact a name like Suzuki trusts you like this means you have worked well over the years. I hope to give them what they expect of me. I’ve always adapted well to new bikes and I will definitely try to do the best I can.”

Espargaro, in a separate interview, also commented: “I know it will be hard work and it will not be easy, but this is a factory team and that means they also want to win a lot, they want to do as much as they can and do their part, just like Maverick and me, to put Suzuki back on top. I think I’m arriving at Suzuki in the prime of my career. I am ready for this challenge and I will work like a beast to achieve very good results for Suzuki.”

Prior to its official return in 2015, Suzuki plans a wildcard entry at this season’s final race in Valencia.
