Whorehouse Visit Gives Rise to Literary Excellence

By: Cycle Canada Published on 3 May 2011

Cycle Canada staff writer Steve Thornton has been nominated in the travel category at the 34th annual National Magazine awards. The awards, the most prestigious in the country for the magazine industry, will be presented at a gala in Toronto June 10th. The nominated story, from the Sept/Oct 2010 issue, was entitled All the Wrong Places, and initiated a firestorm of protest from puritanical readers who took umbrage at Thornton’s patronage of a Nevada whorehouse. We wish to offer our sincere congratulations to Steve.
