Ducati North America reports 68% sales increase for Q1 2011

By: Cycle Canada Published on 4 April 2011

Ducati North America has announced a 68% first quarter retail sales increase over the same period in 2010. It’s the Italian marque’s third consecutive quarter of motorcycle sales growth in the North American market — indicating continued recovery from the recession. No numbers of actual units sold were given, so we can’t fully judge how good this news really is, but Ducati says that positive sales figures have encompassed their entire 2011 lineup. The strong first quarter results also fall in line with their 2011 sales plans, says Ducati — sales they aim to further fuel with the all-new Diavel, the Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Special Edition and the Monster 1100EVO.

Incidentally, our Steve Thornton will be riding the Monster 1100EVO in Sicily later this week. Watch for his first ride report here.
