Yamaha FZ8R Spied in France

By: Cycle Canada Published on 16 February 2011

It looks like Yamaha has created an upgraded ‘R’ version of their middleweight naked  FZ8 in hopes of challenging bikes like Triumph’s Street Triple R and Kawasaki’s Z750R in Europe. The folks at motosblog.fr say they stumbled across a bike with an FZ8R label on its tank, while at Yamaha’s French factory, and were given permission to photograph the badge as proof of their discovery. According to motosblog.fr the bike featured a Lazer exhaust and Öhlins suspension stickers (maybe an Öhlins shock), though the fork and brakes looked to be stock.
