American electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero has unveiled a 2011 lineup that brings numerous upgrades to all of its four models. The entire lineup, says Zero, is equipped with upgraded suspension systems, new higher performance brakes and beefier components overall. An optional quick-charger, said to cut the machines’ 4-hour charging time nearly in half, is now available for all models, and the Santa Cruz based firm says they’ve also increased the capacity of their power packs by 12.5% to improve the motorcycles’ range. The road oriented S and DS models, are now belt driven and restyled for a more refined look in 2011, while the offroad MX and X keep their chain drive but are now also available in optional street-legal configurations.

The S and DS both start at $10,495, while the MX and X base models are $9,495 and $7,995 respectively. Zero motorcycles can be purchased in Canada online at www.zeromotorcycles.com/ca.
