Beattie tops podium in Paris

Steve Beattie made it made it two in a row with his win in the Open Expert class at Flat Track Canada’s recent round in Paris, Ontario. The wily veteran won a thrilling race around the one-eighth-mile track, narrowly beating out current championship leader Doug Lawrence and title rival Tyler Seguin. Seguin took solace with a victory in DTX Expert, beating out Braden Vallee and Brandon Seguin. 

Other winners included Brodie Buchan in Open Intermediate, Bruce Martin in Open Novice, Rob Churchill in VET, and Brad Kitto in Vintage. 

Doug Lawrence holds a 14-point advantage on Tyler Seguin in the overall Open Expert standings heading into FTC’s final round this weekend in Wheatley, Ontario, while Chris Evans hopes to hold off Nick Wenzler for third.
