CSBK champ Christie suffers injury

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

Word came out recently that Canadian Superbike champion Jodi Christie sustained some semi-serious injuries in early April. (In an age of social media, we applaud him for keeping it so hush-hush.)

The Honda rider crashed his motocross bike while training and suffered internal injuries to his midsection (the kidney and spleen area). He is, however, expected to make a full recovery. In fact, he’s already resumed training.

“I want to thank everyone for their calls and concerns and to assure my friends and sponsors that I am up and doing well,” Christie says. “I am already back training and focusing on the season ahead. I can’t wait to get on my new Honda CBRs at Calabogie for the season opener.”

That goes down June 14. Visit CSBK.ca for full details.
