VRRA to run at CSBK opening round

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

The people at Professional Motorsport Productions, organizers of the Canadian Superbike series, have been busy lately. First the announcement of a Kawasaki Ninja 300 spec class starting in 2016, and now news that the Vintage Road Racing Association will be taking part in this season’s first CSBK round.

The VRRA, Canada’s classic motorcycle racing group, will provide support racing for the CSBK season opener at Calabogie Motorsport Park on June 11–14. Three classes of “period four” machinery – F1, F2, and F3 – will represent the VRRA at the event. (Full VRRA class details are available here.)

“It seems like a natural fit for the VRRA to support the opening national and showcase the history of Canadian national motorcycle road racing,” said John Hopkins, media mogul for Professional Motorsport Productions. “We know the VRRA can put on a good show, and we look forward to a strong grid of exciting Period Four vintage bikes as part of our return to Calabogie.”
