Gresini Racing has announced that starting next season its MotoGP machines will be Aprilia prototypes.

The four-year deal between the Italian manufacturer and the Italian race team should be a good fit, and Aprilia will surely benefit from Gresini Racing’s extensive MotoGP experience.

“I am very glad that Aprilia identified Gresini Racing as the ideal partner to enter the MotoGP World Championship,” said Fausto Gresini, the team manager. “I would like to thank the Piaggio Group for giving me a fantastic opportunity. [Aprilia] has become synonymous with a passion for racing, reaching amazing results worldwide.”
