Ontario pair raise funds on bike trip

A father-and-daughter motorcycle trip to Central America has helped raise $25,000 for research, medical equipment, and education at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
Holly Johnson and her father, Bruce, left for Costa Rica on a BMW GS motorcycle in November from their home in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. The ride was taken to promote a special fund for the Children’s Miracle Network in memory of Holly’s sister Alyssa Rae, who died at Sick Kids at only 20 days old. The Alyssa Rae Johnson Fund is part of the Miracle Network.
A story at www.simcoe.com describes their journey, which was concluded recently in Costa Rica.
Bruce is a real estate agent and so the pair stopped at real estate offices on their way south to promote their fund-raising efforts.
Photos of the trip are posted a www.johnsonjourneys.com.
