Small bike with small price
Honda Canada has announced its pricing for the 2014 Grom, a lightweight single-cylinder motorcycle meant to attract newcomers and smaller riders.
With a claimed wet weight of 102 kg and a wheelbase of 1,204 mm, the Grom is nearly as small as a minibike, yet its 765 mm (30.1 in) seat height, four-speed transmission, hydraulic disc brakes, inverted fork and single rear shock clearly mark is as a full-fledged motorcycle.
The Grom, introduced late this year, is in fact a small naked bike that could be an effective introduction to motorcycling for newcomers and young riders. It’s available now as a 2014 model in Pearl Red and Metallic Black, and retails for $3,199.
