2013 KTM 690 Duke Announced

KTM is bringing back the Duke to Canada. Their 690 Duke is new for 2013 and boasts an aggressive naked look. KTM lists a curb weight of 150 kg and an 835 mm seat height.

The liquid-cooled 690cc single provides a claimed 67 hp and “gobs of torque” – presumably for pulling stumps. The engine is redesigned for 2013 with a new cylinder head featuring a pair of spark plugs. Fuel injection is ride-by-wire and the clutch is a slipper-style for smoother downshifts.

The steel trellis frame comes in signature orange with a die-cast rear subframe. Suspension is WP on both ends and fully adjustable. Braking is via a Brembo radially-mounted caliper gripping a 320mm disc up front, aided by Bosch ABS. The 690 Duke will be available in black or white. Prices and availability have yet to be announced, but reports are that pricing will be “competitive”.
