The long anticipated Ducati 1199 Panigale has now been officially unveiled. Weighing a svelte 164 kg (dry) and boasting a whopping 195 hp (25 hp more than the 1198) from its newly-designed superquadro mill, the all-new monocoque-framed Ducati superbike comes in three versions.

The ABS optional standard model is priced at $19,995 and features an LED headlight, Marzocchi fork and Sachs shock (both manually fully-adjustable), ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, quickshift, and an engine braking control system (EBC) designed to limit the effects of back torque on the rear wheel during corner entry. As for brakes, Brembo monobloc callipers grab the 1199 Panigale’s massive 330 mm front wheel discs for maximum stopping power.

The S version, priced at $24,995 without ABS, or $25,495 with, adds electronically adjustable suspension similar to that on the Multistrada 1200 — a first for a sport bike. The S’s 43mm Ohlins NIX30 fork and and TTX36 shock are both electronically adjustable for rebound and compression damping, while preload at both ends is set manually.

The top-of-the-line Ducati 1199 Panigale S Tricolore costs $29,995 and comes with ABS as standard and adds a titanium racing exhaust, Italian heritage colour scheme, and a GPS-assisted, Mac or PC-compatible, data acquisition system (DDA+).

According to Ducati, the first 1199 Panigales will hit Canadian showrooms next spring.
