BMW hopes K1600 will buoy slipping 2011 sales

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

Though BMW Group Canada has posted an across the board 8.9% sales increase over the first quarter of 2010 for all their vehicles, their motorcycle division sales have decreased. BMW Motorrad Canada is reporting year-to-date sales of 235 units, a decrease of 27.5% compared to the same period last year. The company hopes that the arrival of spring and their all-new K1600 will bring positive sales growth over the coming months.

“We’re happy to have a strong first quarter under our belt,” said Manfred Braunl, president and CEO, BMW Group Canada.  “With several new products about to hit the market, we believe the next quarter will be at least equally positive.”
