Garmin Announces New Moto-GPS

By: Cycle Canada Published on 22 January 2010

Garmin has announced a new, more affordable motorcycle-specific GPS unit, the Zumo 220—though by affordable we mean $400 less expensive than their other moto GPS priced at $999 USD.

For $599 USD Garmin’s Zumo 220 gives you an 89 mm (3.5 inch) colour touchscreen, maps for Canada the U.S. and Puerto Rico, as well as off-road travel options. There’s a  speed limit display, a fuel gauge function and the unit speaks to you via bluetooth headset or built in speaker. The Zumo 220 is waterproof and fuel splash resistant and can be operated with gloves on. A save function allows you to plan your trip and store it for when you need it.

The first units will ship in March 2010 says Garmin.
