Acme Motorsports Pauses 2025 CSBK Season Amid Shift in Funding

Ancaster, ON – May 1, 2025 – After a highly motivated off-season, Acme Motorsports Racing was on track to launch its most ambitious campaign yet—a full-scale National Pro Sportbike program featuring a fan-favourite rider, a veteran “super crew,” and a focused competition strategy for the 2025 Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship (CSBK). That was until earlier this year, when one of their longtime key investors unexpectedly redirected support from road racing to another motorsport discipline, creating a critical shortfall in both budget and essential equipment. The team diligently attempted to forge new brand alliances and procure alternative funding; however, time was ultimately not on their side.

“Racing is a game of constant re-assessment,” said Craig Atkinson, Co-Owner and Team Principal at Acme Motorsports. “This decision was not made lightly. Challenges like this are sometimes part of the sport…So unless something changes dramatically in the coming weeks, we’ll be pausing our CSBK campaign for 2025.”

Despite this setback, the Acme team remains grateful for the ongoing support from their partners and fans, and is committed to returning to the grid in 2026.

In the meantime, Acme Motorsports’ service shop in Ancaster, ON remains open and fully operational, and continues to provide expert service for street, track, and dirt bikes across the region.

Acme’s also actively developing new long-term media ventures, with several exciting projects set to launch later this year—including exclusive content through their OnlyFans platform (onlyfans.com/acmemotors) and a multi-season docu-series about what happens behind the scenes at CSBK and the Southern Ontario Associates of Racing (SOAR).

“We’re not stepping away—we’re just shifting gears,” said Suzanne Robson, Co-Owner and Director of Marketing & PR at Acme Motorsports. “Our love for racing and our community hasn’t changed. We’ll be cheering from the sidelines until we can get out there again and are wishing all of the 2025 CSBK competitors a fast, safe, and successful season.”
