BMW Motorrad hit an all-time sales high in 2015. The Bavarian manufacturer moved 136,963 two-wheelers in 2015, up 10.9% from 2014.

North America and Europe made the biggest contribution to the increase in sales, BMW says, though Germany remains the brand’s single biggest market. Boxer-powered bikes made up 53.6% of sales. The honour of most popular Beemer goes to the evergreen R1200GS, followed by the R1200GS Adventure and R1200RT.

“We are able to look back on an exceptionally successful year,” said Stephan Schaller, president of BMW Motorrad. “For the first time in the history of our company we supplied more than 135,000 BMW motorcycles and maxi scooters. I should like to thank our customers most sincerely for the enormous trust they have placed in BMW Motorrad.”
