Metcalfe takes top spot in Motocross Nationals season opener

Kawasaki’s Brett Metcalfe took the top spot in the MX1 class of the Rockstar Energy Drink Motocross Nationals’ opening round, which went last weekend at Whispering Pines Raceway in British Columbia. The Aussie bagged wins in both motos. Matt Goerke (Yamaha) finished second overall by going 2-3, while Tyler Medaglia (Husqvarna) went 4-2 to take third overall.

MX2 saw another sweep of the top step as Yamaha’s Jimmy Decotis claimed victory in both races. Jeremy Medaglia (Honda) went 2-2 and finished–you guessed it–second overall, while Kaven Benoit (KTM) went 3-3 for third.
