Guintoli getting accustomed to his Honda

Reigning World Superbike champion Sylvain Guintoli completed the first test of his new CBR1000RR Fireblade SP late last month at southern Spain’s Jerez circuit. The 32-year-old Frenchman has joined Pata Honda for the 2015 season after winning last year’s WSBK title aboard an Aprilia RSV4.

“The bike is really sweet to ride,” Guintoli said of the CBR. “I didn’t really get many laps in the dry yet, so it’s difficult to comment. But in the wet anyway, it’s really good, and I like riding in the wet. I felt at home straight away. It feels very different (from the Aprilia RSV4) because it’s a different engine, it’s a completely different bike, so I’m going to have to get used to it. For now it’s a little bit too early.”
