MotoGP champ has nasal surgery
Marc Marquez underwent nasal surgery in Barcelona, Spain, on Monday. Some have such operations for cosmetic reasons – not so for the current MotoGP champion.

The Spanish rookie sensation suffered from a deviated septum that was obstructing airflow and preventing him from breathing properly. The surgery was carried out at the Universitari Quirón Dexeus Hospital and successfully corrected Marquez’s nasal bridge, which should improve his ability to breathe through his nose. The surgery was timed to coincide with a brief break in his schedule.

Marquez will rest his improved sniffer for the remainder of the week.
