To gather at new Marineland
A ride to free a killer whale will be held on Oct. 13 near Niagara Falls.

The Ride for Kiska, organized by Bikers4Orcas, will promote the issue of freeing a killer whale that the organization says has been living in a small tank at Marineland since 1979.

“The ride will correspond with a peaceful demonstration outside of Marineland. The goal is to bring riders together in support of animal freedom and ride to give support to those standing on the ground in protest of Kiska’s situation,” said organizers in a press release.

Riders will meet at 3654 Rapids View Drive at 11:45 a.m. and will run from noon to 2 p.m. The event is free and no registration is necessary.
