2012 MV Agusta Brutale 675 Breaks Cover

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

After fully revealing the F3 yesterday, MV Agusta has now also pulled back the covers on the 2012 Brutale 675, the F3’s naked sibling, heretofore only glimpsed in a teaser video. Essentially an unfaired version of MV’s F3 middleweight supersport, the Brutale 675 claims 113hp @ 12,000 rpm and 52 lbs-ft of peak torque @ 10,600 rpm and weighs in at just 163kg dry. That’s thirteen fewer ponies than the F3, yet eight more than than the baby Brutale’s closest naked category rival, the 26 kg heavier Triumph Street Triple R. The Brutale 675 features the same very impressive MVICS electronics package debuted on the F3, giving it further class leading clout, and with an Italian price tag of €8,990, it becomes MV Agusta’s most affordable machine (and quite likely their future top seller). How the Brutale 675’s low European pricing translates into Canadian dollars though remains to be seen.
