By: Cycle Canada Published on 15 July 2011

Honda’s ST1300, model years 2008-2010, has been recalled for an issue with the rear brake hose. Full details from Transport Canada below.

Transport Canada Recall # 2011250

Recall Details

On certain motorcycles, the brake hose between the remote reservoir and the rear brake master cylinder may contact the swingarm when the vehicle is heavily loaded and ridden over rough surfaces. The resultant chafe damage could, over time, cause a brake fluid leak, which may result in a loss of braking performance and increased stopping distances. The loss of rear brake function, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the rider’s reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the rear brake reservoir hose assembly.
