Montreal Supercross Partners with Monster Energy

The Montreal Supercross is no more. The indoor motocross event that takes place annually at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium will now operate under the new name, The Supermotocross Monster Energy – presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada/Thor. Promoter Pierre Corbeil has formalized a three-year agreement with Monster Energy (they make a sugary caffeinated drink, in case you don’t know) as title sponsor of the event. The energy drink company already sponsors the CMRC Canadian Motocrosss National Championship series and the Kawasaki Leading Edge and Cernic’s Kawasaki teams here in Canada while supporting such supercrossers as Chad Reed, Ryan Villopoto, Jeremey McGrath and Ricky Carmichael south of the border, as well as the AMA Supercross series, and don’t forget road racing stars John Hopkins, Ben Spies and Colin Edwards.

The 2010 Supermotocross Monster Energy will take place October 2. Check out montrealmotocross.com for more information.
