Kawasaki Ninja 250 Indian Bike of the Year

By Cycle CanadaPosted on

Claiming, “It raises the bar of Indian motorcycling,” automotive journalists at India’s Business Standard newspaper have voted Kawasaki’s Ninja 250, 2010 Bike of the Year.

The Ninja won out over numerous machines made solely for the Indian market and unknown in Canada, such as the Baja Discover 100 DTS-Si, TVS RTR 180 and Yamaha’s  R15.

The BS Motoring staff chose the Ninja for its balanced handling, smooth power and comfortable ergonomics, calling it a great all-rounder ready to, “slice and dice twisty roads” and “also play the role of everyday commuter with ease.”

Coincidentally, the Ninja 250 is also one of the choices in our One Bike competition. Read our impressions of the diminutive Kawasaki in the February issue of Cycle Canada, on sale now.
