2015 Dakar route revealed

The route for the 2015 Dakar Rally – arguably the most arduous motorcycle race on the planet – has been revealed. The rally will loop through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, and then back to Argentina, covering around 9,000 km through 13 stages over 14 days. 

The itinerary is as follows:

Stage 1 – Jan. 4 – Buenos Aires to Villa Carlos Paz – 838 km total (175 km special)

Stage 2 – Jan. 5 – Villa Carlos Paz to San Juan – 625 km total (518 km special)

Stage 3 – Jan. 6 – San Juan to Chilecito 657 km total (220 km special)

Stage 4 – Jan. 7 – Chilecito to Copiapó 909 km total (315km special)

Stage 5 – Jan. 8 – Copiapó to Antofagasta 697 km total (458 km special)

Stage 6 – Jan. 9 – Antofagasta to Iquique 688 km total (319 km special)

Rest day – Jan. 10 – Iquique

Stage 7 – Jan. 11 – Iquique to Uyuni (*) 717 km total (321 km special)

Stage 8 – Jan. 12 – Uyuni to Iquique 805 km total (781 km special)

Stage 9 – Jan. 13 – Iquique to Calama 539 km total (451 km special)

Stage 10 – Jan. 14 – Calama to Salta (*) 891 km total (371 km special)

Stage 11 – Jan. 15 – Salta to Termas Río Hondo 512 km total (351 km special)

Stage 12 – Jan. 16 – Termas Río Hondo to Rosario 1,024km total (298 km special)

Stage 13 – Jan. 17 – Rosario to Buenos Aires 393 km total (174 km special)
