Ride for Sight held in four provinces this June

The riding season has now begun in most of Canada and with it comes the Ride for Sight, the country’s longest running (since 1979) motorcycle charity fundraiser. This June, locations in four provinces will host the event in support of vision research. Participants who raise a minimum donation of $50 or $75, depending on province, are able to attend a Ride for Sight Celebration event which features a variety of activities including bike games, live entertainment, show n’ shines, and a vendor marketplace. Of course, there’s also a ride from a select location to the celebration site. Central Ontario’s Ride for Sight is the largest motorcycle parade in the country, say organizers.

Ride for Sight takes place June 10 – 12 in Alberta at the Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino; June 11 in Nova Scotia  at Steeltown Park  in Trenton; June 17 – 19 in Ontario at Tudhope Park in Orillia,  and June 24 – 26 in Newfoundland and Labrador at the Gander Community Centre.  More information can be found at www.rideforsight.com
