As usual, the new MotoGP season kicks off for the Ducati Lenovo Team with the official test at the Sepang International Circuit. The first on-track appointment with the debut of the new Ducati Desmosedici GP in Rosso Centenario. A three-day of testing in Malaysia with the World Champion Marc Márquez, returning to racing, and Francesco Bagnaia.

With Campioni In Pista behind them, where Marc and Pecco got their first look at the new livery of the Desmosedici GP, it’s now time to return to the track to best prepare the first race of the season in Thailand (February 27 – March 1). Ambitious goals for the Borgo Panigale Team, with three titles to defend and new records to break.

Official testing, preceded by the Shakedown test with Michele Pirro and the entire Test Team at work in Malaysia from January 29th to 31st. Overall positive feelings, with a tight schedule and just as many kilometers covered before the official riders arrive.

Marc and Pecco will be busy from February 3rd to 5th for the usual tests and will participate in the big MotoGP season launch event, with all the riders and teams, on Saturday, February 7th. KL26Launch: road show, entertainment, and fun for all the fans in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Michele Pirro (#51, Ducati Lenovo Team)

“The first test of the season here in Malaysia is always tough! There’s a lot of parts to test and the weather is definitely challenging. The Test Team and I worked hard, and I’m satisfied. We have a good base to start from, but we’re also waiting for all the feedbacks from Marc, Pecco and the other Ducati riders on the new Desmosedici GP. We still have a lot to do for the start of the season, but the first approach is definitely positive”.
