MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa has signed a two-year extension with HRC (Honda Racing Corporation). The deal will see the Spaniard remain with the Repsol Honda team until the end of the 2016 season.

“I’m very happy to be able to announce my renewal with the Repsol Honda Team,” Pedrosa said, “and grateful to Honda for the trust they have shown in me for a further two years. It’s the best way for me to continue my racing career, together with the company I was with in my very first race.”

Fellow Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez may get all the headlines, but Pedrosa is having a solid season as well. He’s currently third in the overall standings, though tied for points with second-place sitter Valentino Rossi.
