2011 BMW G650GS Gets a New Look

By: Cycle Canada Published on 29 October 2010

BMW’s entry-level single-cylinder dual sport, known until 2007 as the F650GS  and reintroduced as the G650GS last year, gets a minor makeover for 2011. The new look includes redesigned bodywork,  a two-tone seat and the addition of BMW’s now signature asymmetrical headlights. The 2011 model also exchanges last year’s spoked wheels for cast hoops, the rear wheel now widened to fit a 140/80-17 tire—for better stability, according to BMW.

Other than that the bike is the same. The G650GS is still 192 kg (wet) with a claimed 48 hp output.
