Harley-Davidson Road Glide Ultra
The Road Glide is powered by the Twin Cam 103 engine and uses a transmission as an intermediary between the engine and the driven wheel. The fork-mounted fairing was redesigned last year for less buffeting and a more streamlined look. A then-new handlebar puts controls within easier reach, and cruise control comes standard. The $27,299 Road Glide Special has linked ABS brakes and a fancier infotainment system, among other upgrades. New for 2016, the Road Glide Ultra has the whole package, plus a cavernous top case and fairing lowers for extended touring.
